Monti Garbi Ripasso Valpolicella Superiore Corvina Blend

My first Ripasso!!! Wow!!! Ruby colored with wood and cherry aromas. This is a big bold wine that is very smooth. It’s boldness reminds me of a Cabernet Sauvignon. Cherry, wood, and plenty of spice notes with a fairly long finish. Went well with our Leg of Lamb!

Fabulous dinner at Bar La Grassa. Complimented the gnocchi with cauliflower and orange as well as the New York strip. Great with cheese and crackers the next evening. A must add to my Italian go to’s.

Terrific. Had such a complex profile. Maybe a touch of sweet on the finish, but mostly spices and fruit. It reminded me of a digestivo from le Marche, called miletti. Distinctive spices.

Dried cherries, medium to full bodied. Delicious!

Very complex nose - easy finish. Great for dinner at Taverna.

It's t's work wine and it's delicious. Great on its own and with food although we only had chips with it!
