Bright ruby color. Veneto ripasso-style red blend of Corvina (75%), Corvinone (15%) and Rondinella (10%). Red and blue fruit fill the nose with hints of black licorice and baking spices. Similar notes/flavors on the pallet. Touch of black pepper spice on the long finish. Tannins are quite soft and the acidity is there to balance out the intense fruitiness. Said fruitiness does make this wine seem a bit sweet.
