Took a few hours of slow ox to open up. Dark berry and mild spice on the nose. Balanced acidity and tannins with moderately long finish. Earthy with graphite, tar, tobacco, and shy dark fruit and mild cinnamon on the palate. More of an old world elegance and not as fig forward as many other Amarone I’ve had.
