Riserva Chianti Montalbano Sangiovese Blend

Initially leather and dark cherries. After an hour, black tea, red plums and bergamot crept into the picture. Ready for business and delicious. Great with mozzarella and vegetable sheet-pan dinner.

Really lovely, very much enjoyed this, finished leather and kind of a dried smoked fruit going thing going on with cooking spices and savory bits that did not overpower the well structured fruit. Very much enjoy this one. 

Wish I had more of this one. Nothing fancy, just really good. Medium jammy body. Tart and sour cherries, plum and tobacco. Easy drinking with or without food. Will grab more if I ever see again.

Dark fruit. Leather. Salty. Rustic. Perfect for Italian red sauce.

There r no values in the bcldb system. Why is govt in the booze business.? That said this is one damn delicious Chianti riserva at a modest price.

Incredibly supple for a Chianti, while not lacking the firm acidity and backbone you expect from the style. Excellent. Jammy nose but a solid palate.
