I just had this wine for the 2nd time. 1st being in Italy over thanksgiving. This is a very complex wine that needs food but a great Super Tuscan!

Deep purple in color. Nose of over ripe fruit. Intense flavors of dark cherry, leather and coffee. Oaky, with dense palate without nuance or definition. Soft tannins, lacking acid Almost sweet. Fatigues the palate. Very, very modern without much sense of place. Not to my taste. Needs big food.
