This is on the chocolate side on the palate rather than on the fruit side, although the nose has plenty of violets. Often overlooked besides the much praised 1994 vintage, this is just a killer VP with a massive tight core and an excellent bottle. Much less advanced than 1994's I had in the past 5 years so no hurry here if you have well stored bottles.
