This bottle is challenging to evaluate. I went to the store intending to buy a few Nero D'Avola. Most were 2011, 12 but was surprised to come upon this outlier from 07. I expected some softness due to the age but instead got a deep garnet glassful with a solid core and a long, enticing finish. For sure we need to try a few more bottles to zero in on the details.
