A wonderful Cab from a wonderful region. Actually, I made a mistake and shouldn't have opened this so soon. It's a 2012 varietal and should've rested for 5-10 years more. So, it's no surprise that it has a new flavor to it. Stems, skins, etc... Very organic and mineral like. But had big fruit forward! No doubt it'll be a hit much later in its growth!

A small-production Russian River Cabernet that has enough layered fruit to be an enjoyable drinker, with enough complexity and richness to keep it from being boring.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Grapes from Tara Bella’s estate vineyard in Russian River Valley, Sonoma. Vineyard is planted entirely to Cabernet Sauvignon, specifically Clone 4/Mendoza and Clone 7/Wente.

Berries, currants and plums in the beginning, some oaky leather (Bretty) notes in the finish, that is better incorporated with longer decanting. Some sediment at the end of the glass, due to the higher sugars. Tasty! 2009
