Last of a 3-pack. Consumed one in ‘22, ‘23 and now ‘24. Holding up well.

42 Mourvèdre/40 Grenache/17 counoise/1 cinsault

I don’t drink much rosé, but when I do, I like the darker/bigger profile, and this achieves that at a really nice price. When compared to the first bottle two years ago, the change is minimal (if at all). This style allows for a bit of age to carry it easily. Deep red-pink in the glass. Aromatics of juicy watermelon and red-gummy fruit (raspberries) upfront as well as some red floral notes. On the palate, it has spiced strawberries, black cherries, and a little blood orange citrus at the finish. If I had more, I’d enjoy over the next year or two.

This is a new world version offered a great Bandol rosé - mourvèdre-based for dark cherry, a hint of leather and a healthy p I ration of Grenache for strawberry, raspberry and honored floral notes. Good acidity, medium bodied with great fruit presence and a beguiling silky mouthfeel - it’s well-balanced and utterly satisfying.

The 2019 ‘Dianthus’ Rose is a scintillating new effort that is truly one of the top Rose wines you will find in California. A blend of Mourvedre (52%). Grenache (33%) and Counoise (13%), the ‘Dianthus’ shows off its vibrant pink hue, delivering rich red rose petals and guava tones that collide with suggestions of damp earth and orange blossom aromatics that all take shape in the glass. The palate is marvelously textured with a silky mouthfeel. Layers of red fruits dance with citrus rind, rose water and shades of damp stone on this highly complex palate. The combination of richness, viscosity, tension and length is truly marvelous in this thrilling new Rose. Marvelous to enjoy in its youth, the 2019 ‘Dianthus’ Rose will enjoy a long life ahead of it, picking up early tones as it ages. Drink 2020-2028- 93

Visually the color is captivating. Love the texture of this wine, creates a mouth-watering effect. Great pool side or with grilled fish...

To me Tablas Creek ranks with the Bandols for a domestic rose

In a really, really nice place. Tons of depth and berry fruit with perfect minerality. The age is bringing a really pleasant touch of plastic to the nose. This wine needs food. It was very successful with some baba ganoush and pita tonight. The Mourvèdre picked up on the smoky eggplant and really ran with it.

Deep, opulent pink reminiscent of a Tafel rosé. At 14.1%abv it's assertive and wonderfully balanced. Citrus peel, watermelon, red berry and meaty aromas and flavors, this is on the upper side of medium bodied. It's a serious wine that would be as welcome with a steak as with grilled shrimp or later. In 2017 the wine is 49% mourvedre, 39% grenache and 12% counoise. Delicious
