Really had a craving for a high acid white in the spring sun! This is from 90+ year old vines from the Saumur region. Upon opening there was a lot of sediment/turbidity and even some residual co2, which quickly blew off. I smell a beautiful dusty marzipan chenin nose. On the palate this has citrus, marzipan, a little peach and a popcorn like reduction. Obviously enough acidity. A little oxidation which adds to the complexity of the marzipan flavors. Gained balance after 30 minutes. Next bottle in a year or so if I can keep my hands off them.
