This bottle was opened several hours prior to service and enjoyed over the course of four days. Best on Day 4. The 2022 Peterson Family Vineyard pours, an inky purple color with an opaque core, moving towards a magenta rim; medium+ viscosity with significant staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of black cherry, black plum, lavender pastels, smoked meat, dry earth, Madagascar vanilla and fine baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and silky. The alcohol is high…but remarkably in balance. Still, this is an enormous wine and while it’s really well made, it’s something I wouldn’t be able to drink often. Drink now through 2042.

Dark tannic fruit that could dribble down your chin like blackberry cobbler juice. Just gorgeous. One rare porterhouse please! It’s an act no one should follow!

Blackberry/Cherry Liqueur, pain grille, hints of mint, lead pencil. Remains very dark and inky. Very youthful. 16.5%abv. Smooth with chalky tannins. Will revisit in another 5-7 yrs.

Big, but somehow balanced and developing well with age.

A group of guys decided to meet up at our Wine Storage facility and bust out some unique bottles! Scores and notes to follow!

Another great petite sirah by Bill. Lots of black pepper and spice on the finish compared to the eighty four. I love the Switchback Ridge Merlot and cab...as an '05, this has at least 7yrs to peak!

A perfect wine to finish the long night with great wines. Still quite youthful. Big alcohol content (as if I needed more) @16%+. Think of chocolate covered cherries in a foil wrap.

Big, big, big wine - a palate destroyer. Monster tannins with an abundance of dark fruits and spices. After a 2+hour decant the tannins simmered and it was delicious. Plush mouth feel with a finish that went on and on. (Tasting notes from 9/25)
