Reminds me of visiting Summers winery when we were in Napa to celebrate my birthday. Good memories. And a good wine. Let it breathe a bit.

Classic Napa-ish Cab. Designed to be easy drinking, not complex. For $20 it's a decent buy.

51% Sonoma 49% Napa. Spicy and a little earthy, but mostly black pepper on the palate. Really found its flavor at 62 degrees. Better than the 2012 blend. This is the best cab under $20 I've had in the last year!

Beautiful ruby in color with a light ruby rim.

Intense nose of blueberries, blackberries, cherries, raspberries, earth, plums, licorice, oak, vanilla, wildflowers, red candy, earth, leather and black pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and long legs.

Fruity on the palate with blackberries, plums, raspberries, light oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, earth, leather, green pepper, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, spices and black pepper.

Medium plus on the finish with round tannins.

A nice blend of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, 51% from Sonoma County and 49% from Napa County.

Complex and interesting by itself, but a good food wine, too. Well balanced and enjoyable. I paired it with a platter of hard cheeses and dried fruits.

14.1% alcohol by volume.
