The 2021 Soave Classico Monte Carbonare is decidedly savory, displaying notes of crushed rocks and dried flowers that give way to white peach and hints of gingery spice. It sweeps across the palate with a silky, textural wave of liquid florals and ripe pit-fruits, riding along a core of vibrant acidity. Notions of candied lime and saline minerals linger through the long and youthfully tense finale as the 2021 leaves a confectionary air of spice. (Eric Guido, Vinous, February 2024)

The 2019 Soave Classico Monte Carbonare pulls you close with a nuanced mix of spring flowers, ginger and crushed green apple. It soothes the palate through silky textures and a pleasant inner sweetness, with ripe pit fruits and hints of melon motivated by brisk acidity. Nothing is out of place in this elegant and jovial Soave, as it tapers off lightly structured and buzzes with residual tension. While highly enjoyable today, the Monte Carbonare will excel through medium-term cellaring. (Eric Guido, Vinous, April 2022)

2011 vintage. A coiled snake of acid and stone. Intense and power under control. Very long rich finish. Wonderful stuff reminiscent of Grand Cru Chablis. $32.99

2011... Orange zest and tarragon dominate the nose. Palate is citrusy with tangerine, pineapple rind, minerality, and verve. Can go a few more years. Perfect with soft shell crab, asparagus, and vinegary salad tonight.

Me gusta Soave classico wines. This one is a very pleasant sample of what can be found. Round in mouth but still Delicately punchy! Un régal :)
