Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir

Fruit is not too far forward which I like, but character doesn't develop on the palate. Fairly one dimensional and a little sharp. May need to bottle age a few years.

We really enjoyed this Pinot that gives no hint at all that it is from CA (in terms of typical upfront fruit). Definitely Burgundian but in the style of Pomard.

Bright fruit forward on the palette with a slight port finish.

Solid pinot, nice bouquet, soft dry finish rounded by subtle fruit. Growers take excellent care of their land, which is always important.

Decent representation of the Cruz. Juicy but not too loosey.

First drank it in Lailis Santa Cruz!

On the potent side.

Textbook Pinot. Strawberry nose. Fun opener for the night.
