This barrel free cool climate chardonnay allows the grapes fruits and minerals to stand out without the buttery oak bomb that makes so many chardonnays undrinkable for me. Stonington's barrel aged chardonnay is also nicer and lighter than anything coming out of California, but this one would be my choice.
