‘Wine product’? Why is that what it’s called on the label? And the ‘Old Vines’ in quotes isn’t helping either. That’s an unregulated term and therefore meaningless. But onto the actual wine. Ruby purple? Maroon red? It’s pretty. And pretty dark. Smells like jam and pencils. Flavor is fine. Smooth and easy drinking. Plenty of cooked berries and cherry jelly. The second day it has more depth. Something savory. Olives? Say sweet olives. It’s got a classic old vine Zin finish. Jam, jam, jammy. It’s a decent Zin, better than Sutter Home, fat from a Sobon.
