The only thing missing from making this the equivalent of a triple cheeseburger with a side of bacon, covered in cheese sauce and topped with beer battered Onion rings with mayo dipping sauce is more oak. More oak, and this would hit the alcohol, fruit, and oak trifecta. O well, 2 out of 3...but it's still not enjoyable.

Vanilla and berries nose. Medium bodied and fruity, with Berry and cacao notes, but not sweet.

Smooth, easy drinking wine, right after opening. No front bite nor back aftertaste. Be patient and it gets better.

Much, much better the second day. Floral aromas with undertones of blackberries and a touch of cedar. Big ripe fruits on the palate. Cherries, plums, chocolate, and more oak. Nice fruity finish and just a dash of complexity with the minerality. Very French but alas, the French do this better.
