On the weekend we had a blind wine tasting party (see the write up here: http://bit.ly/2IDvPcu) thanks to the team at Cellarmasters. This bottle of Stefano de Pieri 2016 Sangiovese from the Fleurieu Peninsula in SA was one of them. And yes this is celebrity chef Stefano de Pieri’s vino!

Stats:
- 14.5% alcohol
- Cellar till 2025

On the eye it’s a lovely shiny ruby red colour. The nose is full of black fruits, spice and warmth. While in the mouth black plums, elegant acidity and earthy tannins come through in the mouth. Yum!
