Bourbon Barrel Aged Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon
And if there was a wine to legitimize the Bourbon Barrel aging trend... So this guy was pretty surprising! Sweet fruit palate, medium to light body, quite lighter than expected, but bourbon flavors explode on the palate. Vanilla, oak, sweet woody flavors, caramel, molasses. On the ultra new world side for sure, but damn if this wasn't an awesome wine for the price.

Wonderful nose of blackberries, blueberries, black currants, sweet plums, cedar, vanilla, licorice, tobacco, leather, caramel, butterscotch, metals, spices, peppercorn, red flowers, black licorice and alcohol. Nice and complex.
Medium bodied and smooth, with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with blueberries, plums, cherries, strawberries, red currants, vanilla, licorice, oak, spices, peppercorn, graphite, earth and leather.
Medium plus on the finish with medium tannins, cranberries and spices.
This is a very nice Cabernet from Paso Robles, California. Wonderful nose, but simple on the palate. Enjoyable by itself or with food and well balanced.
I really liked the nose here, and kept on smelling it for like 10 minutes.
A good wine for parties or just to Sip on by the porch.
I paired it with a cheese plate.
Aged in bourbon barrels for 4 months.
13.5% alcohol by volume.

Good full body with a jammish character. Not overly fruity, dry. Hint of oak and bourbon at the end of the taste
