Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

Good but expected more fruit for the excellent vintage. Noticeable tannin. Will the fruit be there in 10 years? 4th Cab in the tasting.

More austerity than I was expecting from the Vineyard holdings and the excellence of the vintage. Needed a better balance of Cassis and Blackberry fruit IMO. Still the best match for a steak in preference to a Shiraz. Another 5 to 10 years in front of it.

Aromatic, savory, rust, tart red currant, mint, roasted red fruit nose; savory, tart red currant palate with medium acidity and firm, fine tannins; could use 4 years and should go 25+; medium-plus finish

Dark crimson dark fruits on nose and a little tart on the palate but flavoursome with good acidity.
First 2022 and should develop over time.

High notes yes, more air better. Not sure about headache yet. Could change rating. We are cavemen.

smooth taste, with a nice balance of sour notes and bitterness (in after sip)

Good balance and lengthy lingering aftertaste
