Last one of these I had, enjoyed today. This wine is usually close to 50/50 Malbec and PV. Odd combo for sure, but that's what makes it so enjoyable. Initially, the question loomed: how much Cab was in this blend? 0% is the correct answer! But....with this one pouring a nearly perfect purple color, one should have at least suspected the 50% Malbec. The purple pour and the purple nose gave that one away. This one has a nice floral nose to it. At first, the middle of this wine is rather devoid. That takes about an hour to resolve. This wine has notes of cinnamon, clove, allspice, black and purple fruits, and finishes a little bit spicy. If allowed to open, the average 90.1CT score is all of a sudden more like a 93. This wine is at the top. Not sure that additional aging will do it any good. Damn good to drink right now though.
