Rich gold in the glass and quite muted on the nose yet with enticing freshness. Underripe apricots, green papaya, white flowers, a pinch of spiciness, a slightly reductive, flinty whiff. Very light, yet intriguing.
On the palate this shows good weight & concentration, packed with the Riesling power. Yet there, again, is lightness & finesse with purity of fruit, a seamless, juicy mouthfeel and a long finish.
This is a GG playing more in the Kabinett featherlight league rather than heavyweight Spätlese. A very nice wine!
