Dark purple. Classic Cal-Ital nose of black cherry compote. New World extraction yields a medium full, smooth body that echoes the nose plus red apple and envelops the variety's naturally high (but here, medium plus minus) juicy acidity. Medium minus tannins. Medium finish. Fruity and juicy enough for a sipper; bright enough for an Italian family restaurant. Drink now.

Stage 5 #amgentoc hits Lodi and Tahoe. Had this nice Barbera. Very fruit forward but nice pepper and earthy flavors.
