Enjoyed at a local Fort Worth restaurant. Was supposed to be a 2012 but 2010 showed up to the table. This one had a little bit of truffle right at the front. A little bit funky therefore we let it settle for a bit. After about 20 minutes, this one had settled down and was ready to rock. Not as red fruited as I was expecting. More black cherry and even a hint of blackberry along with a gravely and almost volcanic type backbone. Mint, tea leaves, black pepper spice on the finish. Really nice wine. I think this will appreciate for another 5 to 7 or so, and drink well for another 15 to 20!

Best to decant...the 2010 needs to open up...definitely will cellar well. Flavors of bell pepper, leather and black pepper...transitioning to cassis & chocolate with a long finish. 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot, 5% Cabernet Franc & 3% Merlot

2010. Nose is different I get more green vegetables like bell peppers or is that licorice ?? Dry. Spicy. Lighter There is definitely bell peppers, a little darkness. At spring. Didn’t rate at the time.
