Oct 17th, 2016Oddly, better on it's own than with the lamb. With the lamb, it gave off an astringent, moldy cellar quality. On it's own; cream blackberries/raspberries, dark cherry liqueur, semi-cooked rhubarb, mushroom, dark earth, saw dust, hay, clay pot, leather, vanilla and a classic Spottswoode elegant finish with a touch of funk. To be fair, I'm about 3 years late on enjoying the 95. However, still an enjoyable wine 20 years later.
