Signature Wine Pinotage
Ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Fruity nose with black currants, plums, green pepper, chocolates, oak, licorice, spices, coffee, cola, pencil lead, peppercorn, barnyard and bitter vegetables.
Medium bodied with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, strawberries, wood, raspberries, barnyard, vegetables, tobacco, chocolates, bell pepper, spices, dark coffee, pencil lead, earth and peppercorn.
Medium on the finish with soft tannins and tangy cherries.
This South African Pinotage is drinking very nicely now. Lost most of the tannins by now, and it is earthy and balanced, with a soft mouthfeel and a tangy ending.
Showing nice complexity and needed 2 hours to open up, but still remained stinky.
I paired it with a beef flatbread.
14.5% alcohol by volume.

Now this is a nice Pinotage even at its young age.
Deep ruby in color with a purple rim.
Very pronounced nose with blackberries, blueberries, tar, oak, spices, flowers and black pepper.
Full-bodied with low + acidity.

This one would be great in a few years. Very recommended. Paired with grilled meats.

My new weekday "go-to". Can't believe how cheap this is.... such a delish wine to pair with steak. Such nice dark fruit, but also deep tobacco and chocolate. Full bodied, silky, Great bargain. Love.

Sep 4th, 2015A nice, cheap Pinotage. Dark fruits, smoke and not too sweet.

Mar 3rd, 2015A very nice basic pinotage. If I wanted someone to taste exactly what pinotage is without any frills, this would be a great introduction. Very drinkable. Started drinking this with some cheese and crackers...finished it by itself. Well priced and I'll definitely buy it again. Good coffee and dark berry flavors. Peppery with not much of an aftertaste.
