Gorgeous deep violet color, hits the tongue a bit sharply, but a mild fruity aroma mellows the drink with a deliciously sweet and crisp finish. (Paired really nicely with a small piece of milk chocolate.) Very nice find (from a Mondavi label).

I wanted to like this wine more than I do. Lots of oak and cigar box for me on the nose. Start off with great fruit and ends with a decently long, pleasant finish but seems to have no mid-palate whatsoever. If you want to know what a wine with no mid palate tastes like, give this one a go.
