What an uncommon blend. But, it’s California. And Alexander Valley at that. Zinfandel? Duh. Cab Sauv. Obviously. Makes you wonder why this isn’t more common? It’s hitting all the zin notes up front and the cab on the back. Dark chocolate, blackberries, a bit earthy and a dash of spice. Really yummy, easy to drink, but also complex enough to ponder over.
This is the kid in high school who never studied for class, pissed off all the teachers, but got straight As nevertheless. I’m annoyed by that guy, but I want to be him too.
