Meia Encosta Dão Red Blend
Juicy with a long, acidic finish. Fine for the price.

Mar 26th, 2019Big disappointment considering what Dao producers produce. Cheap for sure but unbalanced with very high acidity on the palate despite a pleasant nose of concentrated dark fruits. This vintage feels it has been rushed and shipped away. Good for cooking.

Jan 19th, 2016Bon pour le prix, était meilleur il y a quelques années et était moins cher. Rien de spécial mais correct, c'est comme un vin de table de luxe ! Moyennement corsé.

Feb 21st, 2015Definitely a go-to if you're looking at something around the $12 range.

Dec 23rd, 2014Surprisingly good for a cheap Portuguese "vinho tinto". Japan wine challenge 2013 gold winner (for what that's worth). Tasting notes are vague - " smooth velvety palate with the clear presence of fruit in a full bodied wine"
