A perfectly pleasant rustic zin, with loads of blackberry fruit and a bit more wood than it needs and an ample but not unpleasant tannic structure. It's not going to win any awards for complexity, but offers an honest old vine zin experience at a reasonable price.

Yet another great Zinfandel from Sobon Estate! On top of their wines being fantastic they are family owned, super friendly, and easy to talk to. Tom Quinn is hilarious and super informative with the history and all their wines, as well as the world of wine. Visit them in Amador County California!

This is a very popular wine at our country club in Elk Grove. We are personal friends with the family that owns the winery. All of the Sobon wines are delicious. Rocky Top is a favorite.
