Medium palate yields plum, blackberry, dark strawberry, and unbitter cranberry wrapped in medium acidity and medium minus-and-a-half tannins (a slight chill puts then where they should be). Classically fruit-forward Zin with a bit of restraint that makes it a wonderful accompaniment for burgers, pizza, or red sauces at any point on the “sophistication scale.” Drink now.

Tried this again. Made from vines planted in 1910 at a nearly 2,000-foot elevation. Dark red almost purple with dark fruit aromas with aromatic spice. On the palate blackberry and plum with coffee and black pepper notes, big firm tannins on lingering finish ending with toasty mineral tones. An ok Zin! Tasting Sample.
