Ali Story, of Smith-Story Wines, was in town and did a nice tasting at Classic today. A pleasure to meet and very unique and enjoyable wines.
This was actually better than I expected. Acidity was very crisp here (love that). Kiwi and watermelon were balanced by more earthy not-yet-ripe plums. Goes down easy.

More stone fruit, peach flesh and an incredibly satisfying mineral driven finish make this rosé both dangerous and enjoyable on the palate. I need more of this in my life.

My reflexive reaction was, "Allison, you're a genius!" The wine, 11.5% abv., is a pure treat. Medium bodied but nimble and lithe. Tart acidity with a nod toward Jolly Rancher brightness without the sweetness. Such a delight. I'm gonna need to clean out the local shop while I can. Rosé of pinot noir. $21.99
