Ali Story, of Smith-Story Wines, was in town and did a nice tasting at Classic today. A pleasure to meet and very unique and enjoyable wines.

This was actually better than I expected. Acidity was very crisp here (love that). Kiwi and watermelon were balanced by more earthy not-yet-ripe plums. Goes down easy.

Fresh strawberries meet bright citrus in this dangerously drinkable wine. Clean and refreshing.

Representing everything that is right with rosé; ripe stone fruit, apricot and mineral grown honeysuckle hit the nose immediately. More stone fruit, peach flesh and an incredibly satisfying mineral driven finish make this rosé both dangerous and enjoyable on the palate. I need more of this in my life.

I've been eager to try this for some time. Finally found time tonight. Grabbed my corkscrew and went to open it, only to find that it was a screw cap. My reflexive reaction was, "Allison, you're a genius!" The wine, 11.5% abv., is a pure treat. Medium bodied but nimble and lithe. Tart acidity with a nod toward Jolly Rancher brightness without the sweetness. Such a delight. I'm gonna need to clean out the local shop while I can. Rosé of pinot noir. $21.99
