This Texas Cabernet is surprisingly good, given how different High Plains is from Bordeaux or Napa. It’s light to medium bodied compared to your typical Cab. There’s bright berry flavors up front, with tingly tannins, and a slightly acidic, dusty finish. It’s a little like a SuperTuscan, but not quite as vibrant. A decent effort, and a passable dinner wine.

Very casual kinda Cab. Big bright fruit up front, bold and full bodied with dried fig, leather and graphite undertones. The tannins are firm but polished and finish is savory.
