This is another brand from Charles Smith of K Vintners. Named after a Spanish guitarist "Sixto Rodriguez. He sold more albums than Elvis in South Africa. This is fermented in combination of concrete, stainless and neutral oak barrels. Then, blended. On the nose; big lemon, cream, lime, green apple, overripe pineapple, soft minerality and spring flowers. The body is creamy & thicker in style. You definitely pick up the concrete influence right away. The oak influence is very gentle. Fruits are; lemon, lime, grapefruit, green apple with light notes of Bosc pear. The edgy minerality comes shinning right after the fruits set. The acidity is high and a little sharp with a decent finish. The name "Uncovered" comes from Charles. He believes that he uncovered something with this tri-fermenting process.

Not good. I don’t think it’s over the hill, just low quality. The alcohol is very present and has very little fruit.

Was misled by Wine Spectator. Maybe I didn’t drink soon enough, but this bottle seemed dead. Wasn’t a bad bottle, but lacked flavor. Had a lovely floral nose, but nothing materialized after that. Might need a decent decant.

Blend of Chardonnay grapes from three different vineyards. Aromas of sweet ginger, lemon, peach, spice and wet stones. Tart apple and lemon flavors with hints of cinnamon and ginger. Creamy texture and chalky element. Crisp and balanced. Oak is light allowing all the beautiful fruit the opportunity to show through. Nice!

I’m not normally a fan of white, in general, but this was on clearance for $39, but this is really cool and crisp, with just enough oak blended into it.

What I like most is the smooth finish.
