It reveals a clear pale color on its first pour with athletic legs at its first swirl. It breaths citric scents onto the nose and it's initial sip is mildly acidic with lemon peel that ends crisp with very low tannins. It's a well ripened, dry but not to sweet chardonnay thats very drinkable. It'd pair well with lemony meals, white fish, and itd probably pair with shellfish the best. I'd say we'll worth the $18 but I probably wouldn't pay much more than $20.

Jun 19th, 2013The wine I decided to drink earlier today in celebration of National Chardonnay day was; Millésime Simonnet-Febvre Chablis 2011. For the price point of this wine, it was excellent! I was going to go with something domestic for National Chardonnay day, but I said to myself, why not go with a wine from the birthplace of the Chardonnay grape...France!
