$23. CF/merlot/CS. 12.9% abv. Leans a bit green. Appealing aromatics. Medium tannins, medium plus acid. But alcohol, despite its low number, seems out of place. Interesting and flavorful, but while I'm enjoying it, mostly, something about it has me scratching my head. I might drink it again, but I'm not making any promises. Would love to see other offerings from Silver Thread. Jury is out.

Another one of our NY state imports. Nice dry red for pleasant drinking. Mostly Cab Franc.

One of my favorite sleeper reds. Smooth tannins, warm at the open, silky mouthfeel, and with a full-circle of leather and berry balance. Gonna break out some French bread and Camembert and have myself an at home picnic!

Crisp almost tart but opens very nicely to a smoother taste.
