A gift from the Downs Club for my unexpected hosting of the Italian Dinner. This was a full bodied McLaren Vale Shiraz from an excellent vintage showing mineral, earth, plum and plenty of oak. Unfortunately the oak dominates.

I expected better but what a disappointment almost has a slight kerosene aftertaste. Oh well on to the next one. Cheers 🍷
