A bit soapy. Aromatics are nice though.

East coast IPA from Maine, I have had some of their other beers, and liked, this one not so much, it is not a bad beer, but in the style it falls short, English style IPA, so you get the malts, but the bitterness is just dominates this beer, at only 65 IBU's it seems more, which I like, but there is no citrus or tropical notes to balance that bitterness, I have had beers well over 100 IBU's that drink smoother than this, and the AVB, which is less than 7% is there as well, just not well balanced at all, and lacking the flavor profile of a good IPA

Toasted golden color with a nice border of foam. Abundant aromas of Capt'n Crunch cereal and secondary tangerine aromas. Very structured beer with a nice flare of complexity at the end. Creamy texture with full body. Bold flavor of hobs that lingers for a good 15 to 20 seconds. Pair this beer with foods. 89 pts.
