This shiraz pours a deep purple color with a magenta rim. It's got a red candy kind of nose to it with blue and black fruit and licorice and candied florals. There's a hint of smoked meat there too that definitely comes up on the palate, along with the red berries and licorice. It's a fresh, juicy shiraz that went well with prosciutto and I imagine would go well with plenty more.

I expected a well balanced, full bodied and complex wine. I taste a hint of berries, but the strong tannins make this wine barely drinkable, and I and not a sweet wine lover. Very disappointing.

Some soft structure with ripe raspberry and blackberry a short red pepper and earthy finish. The fruit does not hide the alcohol so the rating was decreased.
