The nose here is just awesome...fruitcake, loads of charcoal and smoke. Youthful and dense with fresh squeezed blackberries and ripe plum on the palate. The finish turns more savory and is still sporting a tart, tannic bite. Palate just couldn’t catch up to the aromatics, but still nice.

Aug 12th, 2018Hybrid between a new world and old world. In a very sweet spot. I believe the 06 is in a prime drinking window. Acid and fruit present yet the tannins are soft and plush.

Hints of peppered beef and cigar box play the back of the palate. Seductive tannins that show the bright fruit of this classic wine. Powerful yet graceful.

Big nose with notes of plums, dark cherries, mocca coffee, earthiness and dark bitter chocolate. Big body with potent fruit, balanced tannins and acidity with long aromatic aftertaste - Great wine.

So good after some age. Had the 2014 on Wednesday and while good, the older vintages are drinking much better
