Deep golden color with some browning to the edges. Smells of ripe apple/pear compote, pineapple sauce, brioche, and lingering butter and vanilla extract. In the mouth, sweet tropical fruits transition with above average acidity to grass, lanolin, and buttered toast. Still very much alive at its old age and proves how well Shafer Chards are made!
