Enjoyable, but ultimately forgettable Petit Syrah. Enjoyed this at my favorite wine bar (Naked Grape in Wilton Manors, FL). It's full-bodied, and definitely fruit forward.

Tried this out at Maritime Wine Tasting Studio.
Color: deep purple
Nose: flowers, violet, greenery like veggies, raspberry.
Palate/finish: no start to the wine, hits mid to end Palate but then dies straight away. Honestly very watery.
Opinion: nothing wrong with the wine, drink it if you have it. Will not become any better.

Very smooth. Even my hubby who is not a dry wine fan drank it down.

Chianti Noir. Black cherries and currants. Kick in the mouth acidity and alcohol. But still lush and full. Paired nicely with homemade pizza with beef, bacon, onion and red pepper.

Deep purple in color with a purple rim.

Gorgeous nose of blueberries, blackberries, figs, smoke, acetone, licorice, earth, spices, peppercorn, oak, vanilla, bell pepper, tobacco and coffee.

Full bodied and bold, with high acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, bell pepper, cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, earth, spices and peppercorn.

Medium finish with soft tannins and tart cherries.

An average red wine. Good right out of the bottle but died after an hour. Lots of vegetable notes on the palate, too much for my taste. A Simple Petite Sirah with a great nose. The palate is a little disappointing, though.

13 5 % alcohol by volume.

2012 enjoyed at Fish restaurant in Marlborough, MA, Aug 2017. $38 for their last bottle. Nice bottle for at home for $17 (retail). Always like the P. Syrahs when you can find them. Cheers
