Rich black fruit, strawberry, dried cherry and slight toasty vanilla. Deep, balanced incredibly long finish for the rosso. Moderate tannins. Aged in French bariques. Love this one -- tasted with the winemaker (ettore) at the villa. Unique terroir in this part of Montalcino: Highest elevation (350m), micro climate with sea breeze and calcareous lime/ rocky mix.
