Sequoia Grove
Tonella Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
PnP. Much better than expected. Dark red color. Integrated dark cherries and oak. More expressive and bolder than previous bottles. Medium depth. Still overpriced, but not a disappointment.

Sep 22nd, 2024PnP. Better than expected. Lacked depth and fruit but the dark fruit that did show through was refined and had a great texture. Still massively overpriced.

Jan 14th, 2024I’m confused. Looking back at previous ratings I was just clearing out inventory of a mediocre wine on a Thursday night. After 4 hours of air this is solid. Good nose, good fruit, good tannin, not great but good. For the location, vintage, and price, this should be at least 9.3 and exciting tho. Consider me pleasantly surprised.

Jan 11th, 2024PnP. Ver dark purple color. Cherries and chocolate on the nose with a hint of oak. Menthol and dark fruit on the palate, but very reserved and higher than the listed 14.6% alcohol. Super short finish. I’m a broken record on this, but I just don’t get these single vineyard SG cabs, especially at the insanely high price. What am I doing wrong or how do I get my money back?
