Really surprised here. Two hours in and this is singing. This is my favorite single vineyard from SG so far. Layered and expressive, but not overblown. Some of their other single vineyard wines have been overly restrained, sometimes muddy - I feel.
Nose is berry, light cigar box. Palate is cherry cola, Hershey chocolate, molasses, spicy oak, and sparkling tannins throughout that lead to grippy finish. Better half helped with some of the descriptions there.
93-94 really good vino. Interesting 🧐 I’m trying to figure out fruit and can’t. Kind of similar to other SG single vineyards.
Side note. Listening to Beatles tonight and loving the experience. Cheers!
