Hazy garnet red. Dark red fruit and leather in the nose and palate. Firm tannins (entry to finish) and medium plus acidity rule in the mouth but don’t take away from the berries and apple peel. None of that oily South African ”stank” that so many SA reds have. Medium long dark finish. This was a steal at five bucks. Worth a whole lot more. Pork tenderloin with cranberry walnut stuffing is today’s marriage. Anything similar would work, too. Oh, and there’s still some time left. 3-5 years at least.

Still carrying too much oak, but still holding in there. I have faith.

Tight, but plenty of promise. Spicy, herbal, blood red. Quite deep and serious

Love this one. Dark & dusty. Perfect for a robust pasta.

This is just crazy good for the price. The fruit is dark and a little more overt than I am used to in a Rhone, the earth a little more mineral than garrigue (this could all totally be in my mind but who cares). The world "layered" comes to mind when enjoying the complexity of this. Ahhh! Right up my alley. Buying more.

Lovely Eben Sadie red. Savoury with smooth oak and tannin. I might guess Spain if tasting blind.
