Syudy material, the nose anticipates a brief sweet finish, other classical elements are present, garrigue, scorched earth and stones etc, hints of green olives, beef jerk and confectionary sugar I know not the best combination but it is what it is in a blind.

Jan 24th, 2019Some dark berry fruit with lots of stony minerality, tannins, and acidity, with peppery spice. Complex and tasty, though it would be better balanced with more fruit, I think. Great wine for meat. I had it with a pan-grilled ribeye, and roasted potatoes and roasted mushrooms. I made the sauce by reducing some of this wine with shallots and the juice the mushrooms gave up. I drank the rest. Some things are classic for a reason.
