Light honey in color with a golden tint.
A very aromatic and sweet nose of yellow apples, lemons, apricots, melons, honey suckle, tropical fruits and spices.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Semi sweet on the palate with lemons, citrus, red apples, tropical fruits, Mediterranean spices, honey, butterscotch and bitter herbs.
Short finish with limes.
This is a great 14 year old Riesling from Mosel, Germany. Showing great complexity and mouthfeel. I wish it had a longer finish, though.
Surprisingly, I did not get any diesel notes.
Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up. Very enjoyable by itself as a dessert.
