If there were a such thing as Amarone rosé, this might be it. Almost like someone made a stamp out of Amarone and used it on this wine. Raisiny, chocolatey, rich nose, yet light in color, elegant on the palate, integrated alcohol, dry.

Dark ruby with tinge of brown and some translucency. On the nose, cherry, plum, anise, vanilla and earth. On the palate, cherry, plum/raisin, vanilla, long finish. Medium to full bodied, tannins are still strong after 10 years. More acidic and tangy rather than full and lush which is how I typically prefer an amarone.

June 6, 2020. Dinner w/ J2 and Jack D. Amarone night. This was number 1. Purchased at the vineyard May 30,2019 after a tasting there. This wine is so good. Deep red, raisin, cherry, smooth tannins. A beautiful Amarone. Need to return to Fumane for more!
