Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Happy Birthday bottle for my babe. Delicious! Did not disappoint and i had high hopes. Earthy front mouthfill, deep berries.

Tried several wines at a tasting, Alexander Valley stood out as an outstanding wine, at a great value. A blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Merlot, the wine was a very deep and dark red with ripe black fruit aromas and elegant spice. On the palate, blackberry and black cherry with vanilla spice and oak. The wine was well balanced with tannins, acidity and oak. The finish was rich and lingered with earthy spice on the ending. The wine has some aging potential, but it is great now! Tasting Sample!

Wow 2013 Alexander Valley store bought WineWorks Marlton for 23.98 is Fabulous ! In Strathmere on Vaca! This's is the Best of what Sebastiani has done is Incredible. Great mouth feel, soft tannin. Black fruit jump out of the glass! Another WOW 94+ this Restaurant under pressure is Awesome when busy! CB 94+

Exactly what you want a cab to be: 🍒, 🍫, and smooth with light 🌶 spice. Agree that’s there’s a lot of sediment for being not too aged.

Dark cherry chocolate sweet nose. Has deep rich color. Very pleasant in the mouth, almost to sweet.

Ton of sediment in the bottle and decanter. The wine had aromas of blackberries, black cherries, tobacco and mocha. Tasted of oak , vanilla and spices. Would drink again and would recommend!

I rated this highly the last time I had it and I stand by my recommendation that this is a good crowd pleaser. My problem was that I was in a snobbish mood!

This, to me, is the quintessential crowd pleasing wine. It hits all the notes one would want for serving wine to a crowd:
- it appeals to the masses insofar as it has a touch of residual sugar, but in a pleasant manner
- it has sufficient complexity to appeal to the novice wine nerd
- it ain't expensive.

I've had three different cuvées from Sebastiani, all under $30 and I've enjoyed all three very much! Well done @Sebastiani Vineyards
